Years and years ago, my Aunt Nicky was given an Undercover Mouse toy – she also gifted one to my mom for her Ragdoll cats, Caymus and Murphy, and somehow I ended up with it. My 10-year old Ragdoll cats, Charlie and Trigg love it, but it is no longer made. We then got a Cat’s Meow electronic toy – which I think was just the company that bought out Undercover Mouse – not really sure – but was darn near the same. When one of my favorite companies to work with, Blackhole, came out with a similar motorized chaser cat toy, I got excited – because I knew my cats would like it, so I could show readers how fun it is for cats, but also that there would be improvements. And there have been improvements to the Blackhole Catch The Tail Electronic Cat Toy – namely, the “cover” can be “clicked” on, helping it stay in place and this one also has little feet that help it stay stable. The Blackhole 2-in-1 undercover mouse toy is a 2-in-1 electronic cat toy that has an undercover “mouse” tail that runs under an oval shaped tarp and then also an attachment that has feathers on it that you can use without the tarp. OK, I am back now (not that you knew I was gone – ha ha).  I have been at my parents’ house a lot lately because their 15-year old Ragdoll cat, Caymus, is in the final stages of renal disease.  He is my favorite living cat, so I have been over there a lot to be with him and help him on his journey. However, of course, I have guilt that I am neglecting my own cats, so to come home and bring out that toy helps to provide some excitement for them and makes me feel good that they get excited about it. I do not leave it out all of the time.  But I will bring it out once a week or more – and they both come running if they hear the parachute/tarp thing come out. The Blackhole Catch The Tail Cat Toy has 3 settings – slow, fast and random.  The mouse tail wand moves silently (unless your kitty stops it with their paw), changing direction when your cat least expects it.  So, it keeps the game exciting, allowing your kitty to stalk, chase and pounce on it. I love that it provides a fun exercise opportunity, while fulfulling their natural instincts to stalk, chase and pounce. The Blackhole Catch The Tail Cat Toy has 3 feet on the bottom of it that fold in and out – when they are folded out, they provide stability for the toy and when they fold in, they allow for easy storage.  I show that and talk about that in our final product review video below.
