August 2013 Giveaway: NVR Miss Litterboxes

Share this post:

The NVR Miss Litterbox is a hit in our house.  The NVR Miss Litterbox is a high wall litterbox especially designed for cats that pee accidentally over the side of their shorter litterbox – and it also does a great job at keeping litter inside the box (see our review of it here, or you can check out the video posted below to learn more).

God Bless Harold for creating a litter box that will probably keep many kitties out of shelters!

Now it’s your turn to enter for a chance to win a NVR Miss Litterbox!

  1. I would love to win this litter box. I have one ragdoll kitten who is already getting litter out of her box and all over the bathroom floor. It looks like the high sides of these boxes would really help to keep the litter in the box.

Thanks for offering the chance to win these awesome litter boxes!

  2. I would love to win this litterbox. I have three ragdolls and a 5 month old maine coon kitten and you can never have enough litterboxes. My boys oliver, dublin, wyatt and Gideon would love it. 🙂

  3. Hello! I would LOVE to win the NVR Miss litter box because our little bundle of joy will be arriving soon. We are expecting our first ragdoll kitten. He is a seal mitted. After researching the litter box on your site, I would love to be able to start our little boy out using it from the day we get him.

  4. Hi, Jenny!

    What an absolutely AWESOME giveaway!

I would lurve, lurve, lurve to win one of these as I’ve been thinking about getting a second litterbox for our darling Pink Sugar.

Plus, August is my birthday month so what a great birthday present this would be to receive! 🙂

Thanks for all your hard work. Know that I appreciate everything you do to share your love of the Ragdoll breed and provide us Raggie lovers with good, solid information to give our babies the best of everything! (I’m sure all your readers feel this way, too!)

    Very warmest regards,

    Patti & Pink Sugar

  5. My cats 7 boys 🙂 in all would love for their human mommy to win this. As my friend says I grow them big (my cats). I have noticed my elderly cats don’t like to bend down like they did when they were young which makes sense to why this cat box would be great for them. Thanks for a chance at winning it.

  6. My Butterball and Bo are both Ragdoll and they are huge. We have a problem with them slinging litter out of normal litter boxes and going over the side. Please help. We are in desperate need of one of these. This would maybe make my husband stop complaining about the litter mess.

  7. This would be perfect for my kitten to grow into. I anticipate he is going to be a big boy and he will definitely need to keep his deposits within the confines of a NVR Miss Litterbox!

  8. I would love to win this litter box as I have heard so many positive reviews! How one go wrong with this! I am still preparing my home as I will be bringing home my three-legged ragdoll kitten home soon! I think this will be a nice type to have!

  9. Milo has a super sized litter box now that’s costly to fill! My bathroom floor feels like I live in the desert with all the stray litter he brings with him out of the box. HELP!

  10. I haves 16 year old Ragdoll that does his business out of the bow because he doesn’t sit down enough, so this would be wonderful. Also have 2 others that fling litter all over when they are covering.

  11. These litter boxes look great! Some kitties just love to compete in “Olympic Litter Kicking” and my three are no exception, there are some days I expect to see them with a measuring tape to check if a new distance record was achieved! Thank you for the opportunity to win this great giveaway!

  12. August is Abbylynn’s birthday, she is a one year old calico of these sweet litter boxes would be just what the dr ordered, she likes to pee pee up high on the litter box and causes a mess for her mommy, which is me!! We would be forever grateful to receive one of these ingenious litter box’s!

  13. I have 2 ragdoll. The male literally gets in the litter box and backs up. He has to have a high wall litter box. The female throws litter and is notorious for scratching at the walls as if she is cleaning her paws. I think they would both like this litter box as well as I would too.

  14. Finally..!
I think this may be “The” Litter box to help my Lucy. She is an older cat and has gotten very messy around the litter box. I’ve tried several different models but this one looks higher and she may do better with this model. The NVR Miss Litterbox Orange Snowflake, is very pretty, but i like them all!
    Thanks for another giveaway!

  15. My two big boys, Niles and Jett, always use their litter box faithfully…..HOWEVER….their aim is alot to be desired! I would love to win this NVR for them….plus it may make them feel as if their aim has improved.

  16. I would love to win a NVR Miss Litterbox because currently I have a litterbox that is too big for the amount of cats I have and it takes up way too much space. I would love a more compact, nicer litterbox.

  17. This litter box looks great! I think it would be especially helpful especially for my male Ragdoll who sometimes doesn’t always keep everything in the litter box. I’d love to be able to win one of the NVR Miss Litter Boxes. I’ll have to keep my fingers crossed!

  18. I would like to win this box because I have a rescue cat Murphy that has had litterbox issues for several years. He was one of 12 juvenile cats taped in a box and left for trash at our vet. He had seizures soon after we had him and he isn’t quite right. He will not go in an enclosed box (which makes it difficult with our dog) but we set up a litterbox room with two open boxes where we have washing machine trays and pee pads. The boxes do have a low front but he does not turn around. So we are going through a lot of pee pads. So we would like to win this box so he can learn to turn around and not be scared.

  19. I would love to win this because all of my felines dig in their boxes as if they are trying to reach middle earth so this would really help me contain some litter to the inside — rather than all over the floor – of the box.

  20. I have just adopted a new rescue, an 8 year-old male who doesn’t squat but stands when urinating. I’m trying to find a litter box with walls high enough to eliminate constant cleanup. Yours looks like it will do the trick. I certainly hope so. Thanks.

  21. I love following your posts on and on facebook. My husband and I just brought home our first ragdoll kitten and are in love. We would really like to replace a litter box to make it big enough for our main coon and of course when our kitten, Fezzik, gets older. This would be a great addition to our home. Thanks.

  22. I have a multiple cat household. One (we don’t know exactly which one!!) pees over the back of the box occasionally. We have tried many different kinds of litter boxes. We have to put piddle pads down underneath our litter boxes. I think perhaps this box could be the trick to stopping this problem–I’m sure willing to give it a try and hope for the best. Thank you.

  23. I don’t yet have my kitty, but I’ve put in my deposit and I’m just a-waiting until the new year for my baby to be born. Unfortunately, I will most likely have the kitten in my parents house for a month or two before my place is ready, and they are not exactly happy about that idea. One of their big issues is the idea of litter box mess. I don’t think they could have anything negative to say about this one, and I myself just really like the design!

  24. I have to cats that think they have to throw litter all over. One even scratches the wall when he is done. (that would be my ragdoll). So I am also sweeping the floors after the both. Maybe this would help the issue. Please let us try this. That would be great.
    Cylide and Gab.

  25. I have 3 cats – including an 18-yr.-old geriatric kitty. This box would be terrific for her! Right now, I have her litter pan sitting on bed pads to absorb the urine that flows outside her box. This box would help angle her so she has to turn around.

  26. I’ve seen this box and it would be perfect for one of my extra large Raggies who needs the high sides. It would solve scattered litter and ‘over-the-top’ problems!

I wanted to order one but the shipping and handling was way to high, making this a much more expensive option. Wish they carried it in my local stores.

  27. You know it’s bad when you have to have a separate bathroom just for your cat. We have to keep our cat’s litter box in the bath tub because he misses every time. It’s disgusting in there. I would love to have one of these!

  28. My husband’s cat is elderly and a little senile so has trouble using regular litterboxes and regularly pees over the side, or avoids the boxes entirely. I’m rather beside myself and it would be nice to try something like this out to see if it helps her.

  29. Pixie and Bailey would LOVE to win this because they have grown up and need bigger boxes now, especially as one of them (who shall remain nameless) tends to stick his furry posterior out just a bit too far and has on several occasions overshot the wall with his… unmentionables. The other kitty, has what I will refer to as “confetti parties”… whereby he tries a little too enthusiastically to kick the litter into place, resulting in a littery mess escaping the box.
We recently got one high walled box and it’s helped end the accidents, but they would love to have another one for the room with the sunny window where they most love to nap. My little girl and I would truly appreciate it and I’m sure that Pixie and Bailey would appreciate it most of all, and they’d be certain to put it to very good use.

Thanks and best wishes to you! =-)

  30. I adopted an adorable Himalayan/Ragdoll mix from a shelter in early March and it has been a struggle to find the perfect litterbox for her. I have watched many of your videos in the past few months and I think that the NVR Miss litterbox would be a great choice; however, I’ve been hesitant to purchase it given the shipping costs. I’d love to win this contest for my little cat, and if we won more than one, we’d give the other one to her cousin, who is also a Himalayan shelter cat. Thanks so much for organizing this. We really appreciate you giving us this opportunity to win a great product 🙂

  31. I would love to win ti litter box as i have 14 special needs cats and frequently accept cats/kittens to foster till forever homes can be found for them. The design of these litter boxes would be ideal for many of my fur babies and because of their side opening as oposed to end opening ones would fit wonderfuly into the areas that my babies seem to preffer their litter boxes in.Yet another reason that i would be greatful to win is that litterboxes of similar size to yours are costly and my funds are limited due to my being on social security as my only income.gfff

  32. Much needed!!!! This would help the kitties to
    1. Stop spreading the litter. Yay!
    2. Help prevent my 2 year old from spraying OUT of the litterbox! (Think she is trying to show the new rescue who is head kitty – but I’m not loving that she is going above the sides of their current box and onto the wall…sigh.

Was just looking for something like this this past weekend. Would love to win!!!!

  33. I do not have a kitty yet (my Obi-wan passed in March of this year) and am looking for a Ragdoll Aand hope to have one soon. This would be the perfect box for a new baby.

  34. Pekoe empties out about a quarter of her liter box, when she potties. A liter box, like NVR Miss is almost essential! Thank you for the opportunity to win… Pekoe & Linda

  35. I sure would want to win this litter box for my kitties. They are so messy. I always have to clean up after them. They are all foundlings so they didn’t have any Mama’s to teach them haow to use a litter box properly. Some of them spray high, why,I don’t know, so this great litter box sure would help.

  36. I’d love to win because I have two raggies and the tiniest litter box – neither of them want to cover so I’m left scooping and covering myself! Plus they won’t go unless it’s clean! Ahhh

  37. My Ragdolls would love to try out this litter box! The high sides are ideal for taller cats or spraying cats (like one of my males). Thanks Jenny for another great giveaway! 🙂

  38. I totally need one of these for my 14 week old Leo. Even though he’s a kitten, I can tell I’m going to need something larger ASAP. He uses every inch of his current box, and wildly scratches and covers his business. Please pick us! 🙂

  39. I’ve always gotten my cats from shelters or as strays. My current cat is 15 yrs old. I’ve had to keep her litter box in the extra bathtub for several yrs as she started making a mess with the litter. We have a jumbo size litter box, but it’s not high enough. This one would be better. It would also help because at her age it’s harder for her to jump up over the tub side into the box. When she reaches the end of her 9 lives, I would give this box to my daughter. She’ll benefit greatly, as she’s had up to 11 at once, and needs more and better litter boxes. <3

  40. I have a ragdoll cat 😀 she is so adorable and she is the one thing that makes me happy when I’m upset. except when she decides to chew my toes. >.>” Well she is a very playful cat end even at times plays with her kitty litter. its gotten to the point that we cant walk into the bathroom because its filled with cat litter. my mom has threatened to take her away if she continues like this 🙁 I don’t know how to make her stop other than a kitty litter tray that would do the job. and I think it will stop my dog from trying to eat my cats litter also.

  41. I could really use this for my Barkerman-he is terrible when he uses the box, he ‘rooster-tails’ litter everywhere. I bought a high sided box, but this box makes mine look tiny. It would be great if I didn’t have to sweep up half a bag of litter every time he goes. Thanks for the chance!

  42. What a great litterbox! Shadow kicks her litter out of her current litterbox. She also pees up against the edge of it so gets on the floor and wall much of the time. This would be SO helpful!

  43. I have cats of my own and do work with a local rescue to help foster. The better the litter boxes, the less work I have to do on clean-up and the more time I can spend with the cats! >^..^<

  44. I would really like one of these. I have 4 cats and they all use our high wall litter boxes. I got them because of so much litter getting kicked out. The problem is two of the cats are small so they have to jump in and jump out which has caused some accidents and messes! I see this box as being a problem solver!

  45. We have 5 cats, all female, all rescue!!! For the first time we have one that stands to pee. As well one who is 17yrs old, with 2 knee surgeries.. We have create, made and spend many $$$ on finding a solution, high walls and very low step in. Would LOVE to win. We currently have 4 litter boxes!!! thanks for a great contest

  46. I would love to win one for my sister’s cats. She has 11 cats. If she had one, I know she would want more. I just love mine. I have a stand up peeing cat and this is the only box that works. I have tried all kinds of other boxes, including the automatic kind. The NVR Miss litterbox sides are high enough, soooo easy to clean, and not a huge box. Fits just about anywhere and is attractive. Bless you for your invention!

  47. I have an 8 year old male who has started peeing standing up. I also have 2 year old sisters who like to have a kick the litter contest with each other. This litter box would be the purrfect solution for all three of them!

  48. My ragdoll, Sir Jasper of Cornwall, has a very difficult time keeping his urine in the box. Because he stands up to go, it usually goes right out the opening, even though he is inside the box. I’m so weary of cleaning up his puddles. I think this litterbox would help him aim better.

  49. I have 7 cats and 8 litter boxes – 2 of which are NVR Miss. I love them and am planning on replaces my “normal” litter boxes with them. Winning one would be great!

  50. I have a lot of rescues. One just had to have his front arm amputated due to a horrible degloving injury when I found him. He feels very vulnerable due to his decreased mobility. I think the box with the high sides will make him feel more secure when he does his business, and build his confidence back up. This way he won’t be looking over his shoulder at other cats when he has to go.

  51. My two rabbits Vlad and Honey are so cute but their biggest problem is not litter training but this spraying they use to mark their territory. I love them but they don’t understand that horizontal peeing is damaging and costing me time and money to repair the damage. Rabbit products are few and far between and most rabbit owners look to cat products to fill in the shortages. One of the biggest shortages is the litterbox. Rabbit litterboxes are too small and difficult to sit in and considering how much a rabbit bathrooms it is impractical. I want to try this litterbox because not only does it look roomy but it would hopefully protect my walls for bad bunnies.

  52. The boys could DEFINITELY use this. Currently the “regular” box has a tray around it to catch the misses, and the other box is a great big Rubbermaid container. (So pretty in the living room!) I’ve posted this on Pinterest and Facebook, too!

  53. My babies Tanner and Spaz would love this box as would I!!! I’ve recently learned they like the open boxes much more but the current one I have has too short of sides (yuck). This would be perfect!

  54. I would Love to win one for my 3 fur babies 🙂
My 2 male kitty’s seen to kick / Scatter litter all around where my little girl kitty wipes her paws off on the wall. 😀 So they would LOVE To win one of your NVR MISS LITTER BOXES.

  55. I have a radoll male who stands up to pee. I have tried box after box to attempt to keep his urine inside instead of outside. Nothing has worked. I’m really, really hoping, based on the reviews, that the NVRMiss will be our solution!

  56. Hi Jenny, I spent the afternoon going through you whole website looking for litter box info and WoW, here it is!
Would love to give these a try. 3 ragdolls and 4 rescues later, litter boxes are IMPORTANT. 🙂

  57. My six kitties have tried all sorts of litter box options, self scooping, high sided, low sided, covered, uncovered. They have not tried the NVR Miss…yet. This litter box looks promising. My oldest Siamese snowshoe is arthritic and I think the combination of the low entrance and high sides would be beneficial to him.
Thank you for the opportunity to win one.

  58. With three cats, keeping litter boxes clean and tidy is a challenge. Big boy, Clyde, is sweet but a bit too large for most boxes. Jinx really likes to use the one closest. Jinx seems to have an issue hitting the mark so to speak. A the littlest one, Tinker Toes, is a super clean kitty. We have been trying other solutions but yours seems best. The box looks great and is reasonably priced given the reviews. The shipping is the stumbling block. I hope we get a chance to try your solution.

  59. Definitely need one of these! I have 8 cats. 2 of them have decided they love to pee waaaaaay up high on the sides. Please enter me into the drawing to win one. I see new litter boxes in my future. 🙂

  60. Hi Jenny,

We’ve tailored our linen closet to be the new cat closet for our soon to be adopted kitten. We’ve fashioned a “doggie door” of sorts onto the entry to allow access and I’ve been on the hunt for a high sided litter box that has side entry like this one that will fit into the floor space giving enough coverage for minimal spillage but also allowing the cat entry. I just can’t seem to justify spending as much on shipping as the product itself costs! If this doesn’t work out we may just get crafty and cut our own nvr miss from a storage bin instead.

Thanks for introducing us to this great product.

  61. I live in a small apartment where space is limited and in which clean-up of spilled litter is a constant routine. I saw this box at a cat show last year and feel that it would be perfect for the situation my furry companion and I are in.

  62. I hope I can win one of these boxes as my 20 year old kitty, blind in one eye, keeps doing her thing outside the entrance of her high walled box. I get tired from cleaning it up and her stepping in it. Also, I’m unemployed so it would be most appreciated!

  63. My cat, George (who is a Large cat), doesn’t seem to understand that his whole body needs to stay inside the litter box when he pees. I would love to win this high sided litter box.

  64. I’d love to give a new boy a chance. My 3 legged cat it always trying to cover up her waste with one front paw
So she makes an awful mess everywhere. The kitten is OCD about covering up her mess and continues to scratch and law at the litter so furiously that she also flings it everywhere. I think his box would definitely help me save some litter and keep me from having to sweep and vacuum every time they go to the bathroom :-/

  65. I’d love to give a new box a chance. My 3 legged cat it always trying to cover up her waste with one front paw

  66. I decided to wait until today to enter this contest…..why? Today is my dad’s birthday and I thought maybe he would bring me luck. He’s been gone 7 years 🙁 He knew how much I loved my animals and having a large male ragdoll in the house I would love to win this litter box. I hope you choose us!

  67. I have two floppy cats, and a two-story house. Emily is 12-years old, 21 pounds, and taller and longer than most litter boxes. I bought a cement mixer at Home Depot to use as a litter box for the enclosed patio upstairs, but would love this large and stylish number for downstairs, since I think she actually invented the very slow and elegant “cat walk!”
