We adopted Annabella on 9/11 this year from a cat shelter, where she’d been placed by a Ragdoll breeder who was going out of business. She was 9 1/2 months old, had been spayed the day before we picked her up, and she was pretty sick. Shortly after we had her at home, she began to fold her ears down flat and would frequently shake her head. After a visit to the vet, he determined she had a bad case of ear mites and he treated her for that. A few days later, she started doing the same thing, but her ears were sore. Another trip to the vet, where they decided she had a bacterial infection and a yeast infection in her ears. Ten days of twice-a-day ear drops cleared that up. She became terrified of having something painful done to her whenever we try to pick her up. Annabella started out as a fearful, sad little girl, in pain and underfed. And now only two months later, she is fat and sassy, extraordinarily playful and loving, and working diligently on being queen of the house. She is an amazing little girl, and deserves a little something special, like the Kitty House.
Kitty’s Name: Annabella
Where: Cumberland Plateau, TN
