Made in the UK, Pet Remedy has been around since 2009. Made from herbal essences, Valerian, sweet basil, sage and vetiver, Pet Remedy helps to reduce stress and anxiety in pets in a natural way. It comes in plug-in diffusers or sprays to suit the situation you might need it for – like having it within “the air” of a home vs. sprayed in the car or in the pet’s carrier.
Last month, we featured the post, Pet Remedy vs. Feliway Pet Relaxants – A Pet Remedy Perspective. I know Feliway has been a great product for many cat owners throughout the years, but have also learned that it hasn’t worked for everyone and their cats. This makes sense, of course, because even as humans we can respond drastically different to different things.
For example, some people respond differently to caffeine than others. We had a giveaway for Pet Remedy some time ago now, and the winner of that giveaway says, “i have used the pet remedy that i won in the contest and it does work. i spray it in the morning when 2 of my boys start fighting with each other and they will calm down. i haven’t sued the plug ins but i would definitely. the spray doesn’t last that long.. maybe an hour. i’ve sprayed it on my bed and in their beds and it lasted about an hour. it actually calms me too when i spray it in my room. i like the scent of it but i know other people that don’t. i haven’t used the feliway but my sister did with her cats before and she said it didn’t work for her two that would get into fights. i know other people that said it worked great. i guess it has something to do with the cats and how strong their distaste is for each other.. hahaha. i really like the pet remedy that comes in the little brown bottle (don’t know if it’s related to this pet remedy). i give that to my bully cat and he calms right down and stays that way for hours. no fights!”
Since it has been a bigger thing in the UK, I know it’s not as well-known in other parts of the world, so I put together a video (below) to help explain it as well, since it is a very hard product to “show” how it works.
I am also a HUGE believer in natural remedies and natural solutions BEFORE putting a cat or a pet on meds. Therefore, I like to share products that help to accomplish natural de-stressing opportunities.
Pet Remedy comes calming sprays that can be used in your home, in the car, in the pet’s carrier and more. Vets in the UK have used it to spray on their clothes to be more appealing to the kitties and pups that they are working on.
