A Ragdoll Kitten from Swagbucking? What is Swagbucks and Is Swagbucks Legit?

I am still frequently asked how I get free cat products for review on our YouTube channel, so wanted to share Swagbucks one more time.  I do not get my free cat products through Swagbucks – but I would go through Swagbucks if I didn’t have this website.

I get “free” cat products to review because I request them for review or am contacted asking me to review them.  They are “free” because the company gets a lot of exposure to their ideal audience – cat lovin’ owners – in exchange for the review (that is, if I decide to review the product).

So if you’re looking for a way to get free cat products without building a website and social media network like Floppycats – then Swagbucks is a great way to get free cat products or other free products. I use it to get free toilet paper, netipot salt, salad dressing, tea and more..

When I started working for myself – my “budget” DRASTICALLY changed.  So I had to figure out ways to get the products I wanted for a lot less, since I no longer had my corporate salary.  So I learned how to Extreme Coupon (and several years later, wrote a book about how to get started doing it). While I was learning how to coupon, I was introduced to Swagbucks on one of the couponing forums I frequent.

Swagbucks is an online rewards site where you can earn virtual currency called “Swag Bucks” by doing things like watching promotional videos, participating in polls and surveys, buying products (cash back), and playing games. Then you can redeem your “Swagbucks” for gift cards to places like Amazon, Walmart, CVS and more.

So I started “Swagbucking” to get free Amazon gift cards.  Now, I am able to get about $70/month through my Swagbucks efforts – I didn’t start there, however.  I probably started at earning $25 a month, until I got better at utilizing as many of their offerings as I could.

So then in one of my Floppycats’ videos where Charlie and Trigg are doing an unboxing, I mentioned how I got the products that had arrived in the mail for free.  Then almost a year later, a reader contacted me to tell me that she was able to get a Ragdoll kitten from Swagbucking!  I share her story here on this blog post: How to Get Free Gift Cards for Cat Products and More.  It’s been fun to have a fellow Swagbucker to email with and share strategies, etc.  She is the one that really helped me get into their surveys, which I talk about in the video below.

So if you are on a limited budget or like to earn free gift cards for minimal work, here’s a video that explains exactly what I do on a daily basis to earn my Swagbucks (I made this video to help explain why we were doing a $50 gift card giveaway for Swagbucks back in March 2017).

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask in the comments below.  Of course, if you have any suggestions, please add those as well!

Great post, Jenny! I do Swagbucks and MyPoints. I’ve belonged to MyPoints longer and do more schtuff there just out of habit. I enjoy getting the gift cards…they really help offset my costs of schtuff when ordering via Amazon.com. 🙂 <3

Big hugs & lots of love!
