The inside of the Tree trunks are carpeted and the Tree-top Platforms are covered with padded carpet and are surrounded by Soft polyfilled puffs and non-toxic leaves. There are many add-ons and upgrades you can choose from to customize your Tree.

If you have younger cats, they might like to climb up the outside of the trees whereas older, chubbier or cats without claws will prefer to use the steps inside to the tree to get to the tree-top platforms.
A Fantasy Forest says that the fabric bark on the tree trunks and branches is not made to be used as a scratching post. So if your cat is a shredder, then you can add a sisal scratch patch to the tree or a sisal scratching post to the tree’s base.
They also have new wood trees that are textured, painted and polyacrylic coated on the exterior.
