Winner of September 2013 Floppycats.com Giveaway: Set of ModaPet Bowls Reports Back!

I have mentioned before how much I love it when a giveaway winner reports back about their experience with their winnings – and even better if they send me something to post.  Helps us be more of a community!

Vlad, Barkly and their Dee, winners of the September 2013 Floppycats.com Giveaway: Set of ModaPet Bowls report:

Dear Jenny,

I never could get good photos of those bowls with the boys in my kitchen, but I knew they’d photo well in the RV–however until we took our last trip of the year this week, I couldn’t let out the kitchen slide of the RV while it was in the barn.

So, I took photos of them while we were on our trip. Here’s how wonderful I think these bowls are:

Thank you so much to ModaPet for the bowls they sent us from the giveaway at Floppycats.com for Vlad & Barkly. I chose the Mango Tango for Barkly and the Sunflower for Vlad and they are perfect for them!

First, look at their bowls. Barkly has a wide open dish because he’s a slow eater and eats best off of a plate. That is what makes the shape of the Mango Tango perfect for him!

Also notice how color of the bowls coordinate so well with each other. They truly are works of art! Another big plus of these bowls is they don’t slip across the floor on either our kitchen’s linoleum or hardwood in the kitchen of our RV.

Now before you say that I’ve got the bowls and the dogs mixed up (they both hold 4 cups and that’s more than a large enough amount for Vlad’s meals), there is a method to my madness. Vlad is obviously a long-bearded dog, and he’s what I call “a gobbler” as well. Bowls with smaller openings slow down fast eaters (giving their brains time to catch up with the fact that their stomachs are full), but the main result of selecting this bowl’s shape for him is his beard. Notice in this next photo how well the bowl’s shape and size holds back his beard from the food:

Now isn’t that nice? I don’t have to comb out bits of food from his beard when I wipe it off after he eats both times each day. ModaPet bowls are really more than beautiful. They are truly more functional than most people would think!!!

Thank you, Jenny from Floppycats.com and ModaPet!

  1. Hi, Dee!

Congrats on winning these bowls for your adorable pups! What an awesome treat this must have been!

Great pictures and it sounds like they are working perfectly for Vlad & Barkly’s needs. Yay!

Give your doggies a belly rub and cuddle from me and my Pink Sugar Raggie girl (who I know would lurve doggies if she ever got to meet any)!

    Warmest regards,

    Patti & Pink Sugar 🙂 <3

Thank you, Patti & Sugar! Vlad’s new bowl has really helped out with his beard–especially on that trip. They love Dr. Harvey’s that we use for emergency food and RV trips, but it’s a bit messy. Having something hold his beard back is WONDERFUL! I’d recommend these Moda bowls to anyone with a bearded dog. And I’m sure cats love them as well. A BIG plus: They are SO easy to clean!
