| April 23, 2014 | 14 Comments

Do you have a favorite cat urine or odor remover that you just swear by?Ā  Awhile back we did a review on Fizzion, and I have loved it ever since.Ā  In fact, it will be included in our “Favorite Cat Products” video that I am working on.

Here is our final review video on Fizzion:

Fizzion sells for $8.95 for a “starter kit” and you can buy refills easily.

I would be curious what your favorite cat urine and/or odor remover is.Ā  Please include it’s name as well as what you have found it works well on.

    Great timing!

No urine odor but Prossimo simultaneously pooped and threw up on two (yes, he managed to involve more than one!), light colored area rugs this morning.

Fizzion is in my Amazon cart (just waiting to fill it with a few more items!).

  2. Thankfully I haven’t had to clean urine inside! In the litter box area for over sprays I use Nature’s Miracle.

However my cats kept smelling a place on the hardwood so just last night after is was dark enough for my low output black light to work, I looked to see if there was anything where they were smelling. There wasn’t BUT imagine my surprise when I saw the living room carpet- their favorite place to vomit/hairball. Apparently if you clean with Oxy clean or Resolve Carpet Cleaner, it glows like you wouldn’t believe for years where you cleaned. Quite the shocker to see all the white glowing spots!

i haven’t used fizzion but i have used “natures secret weapon” and it works better than anything else i have ever used and it smells really fresh. i had a spot where one of my cats would not stop “marking” it was right by my computer and it stunk like crazy. i washed it, i sprayed it with perfume, deodorizer and it still stunk. then i got “natures secret weapon” and it was gone. i even stuck my face in the spot (i know, gross) and couldn’t smell any pee smell. the thing is with it though is you have to saturate the spot, cover it with plastic overnight to keep it wet and working (it’s enzyme technology) and then you have to dab it up and let it dry. it does work great though. i do like the idea of fizzion better though, with one bottle and less packaging. and it looks like it works great. i’m going to give it a shot. great video jenny.

  4. What a great question! For me the answer is so simple: Fizzion (Been using it for years now.)

It works great and is cheap. I get mine online from PetProductAdvisor.com (I think that’s the right website). šŸ™‚

Big hugs, head butts and purry cuddles to all!

I am a huge fan of Nature’s Miracle. I haven’t tried Fizzion but Nature’s Miracle is really a natural product. It’s my favorite.

  6. I just use bleach sense we don’t have carpet; it works well. Been using it with cats for 7+ years and never had a problem.

Equal parts vinegar and water with a dash of Dawn. No pee here, and not much vomit since I changed the cats’ diet, but when Jolie vomits, it has to be on Persian rugs, white bedding or white upholstery.

Vinegar, obviously, is acidic. Fizzion is alkaline. I’m assuming the CO2 is baking soda, but I could be wrong. This makes me think…but not too much.

I always use Nature’s Miracle. I think it works pretty well but I’ve never used anything else. The ‘Just for Cats’ line is supposed to be extra strong to get rid of all traces of cat urine.
I’ve heard you must use an enzymatic cleaner to really get rid of the potent scent of cat urine.
Does anyone like Fizzion or something else better than Nature’s Miracle?

  9. GeoC says:

I do notice that after I clean w/ Nature’s Miracle, the cats will sniff the area and lift their heads up with open mouths (that funny Flehman’s response) which makes me think all the residue has not been removed- even though I clean the area very throroughly and more than once. I will have to try Fission and PlanetUrine in the future, though I always hope to never have to use them!
