The Shopkick App: An Opportunity to Get Free Cat Food and Cat Litter

| August 17, 2013 | 2 Comments

ShopkickThe Shopkick App is certainly a new technological application designed for those of us looking to get the most out of our money. It works like this: you sign up, and rack up points called “kicks.” To get these “kicks,” all you have to do is walk into your favorite store with your smartphone (which has the Shopkick App on it, of course). That’s right – you don’t even have to purchase anything to get these points. This app essentially rewards you for going to places you would already be visiting with or without it (stores include Old Navy, Target, Best Buy, Macy’s, and more). If you do decide to purchase something, you’ll receive even more kicks once you link your credit/debit card with your app account.

So what does this app have to offer for cat lover users?
When you collect a certain number of points, you are rewarded with a $5-10 Target gift card. By simply scanning and/or purchasing items at Petco or Petsmart, you can rack up these points easily. Think about it: you’re already buying food, toys, medicine, and more for your cat, so wouldn’t it be great to be rewarded for this? You can then use the Target gift card to buy more of these items or items for yourself, as a little reward for being good to your furry friend(s). Now doesn’t that sound appealing?

I do this on a regular basis and have earned more than $100 worth of gift cards this year.

To get started racking up kicks from your favorite stores and earning deals from Shopkick’s partners, sign up for the Shopkick app today.
