Ragdoll Kittens Playing in a Laundry Basket

Share:

Someone on YouTube found this old video of Charlie and Trigg playing with a bottle cap (from a plastic sports water bottle) in our laundry basket at the time. Man, they loved this game.

I stopped buying plastic water bottles – and now get glass ones. So I no longer have these caps to throw across the room and have them chase them. However, a few weeks ago we got the wrong case of water delivered – we got the plastic delivered instead of the glass. (and yes, I get water delivered to my house – it is Spring mineral water from Arkansas, Mountain Valley Water – I swear it helps me from getting charlie horses and it’s free delivery and the cheapest I can find it).

So I took the bottle cap off of the water bottle – just the “snapping” sound of me unscrewing the bottle cap made them come running – so cute.

I love how simple this is – requires no made-for-cats toys and they love it.

What things do your cats play with that are super simple and usually found in most households?

  1. I have stopped buying cat toys as Diva does not play with them. She prefers batting around one of my empty tatting shuttles, a screw she found downstairs or the rattan balls I have for my parrots. She also likes to catch and release spiders.
I have no idea what a normal cat is because I don’t have one!

  2. HAPPY EASTER to you and your family (including all those lurvely furries), Jenny!!! πŸ™‚ <3

Just watched this video on YouTube! Here's a copy of my YouTube comment (which sums up the impact this super cute video had on me):

"O-M-G! Most adorable Charlie & Triggy video that I've seen so far, Jenny! How DARLING are they?!?!? VERY!!!! Sooooo cute the way they are playing and when they both looked up at you….gah…heart meltingly adorable with those choochie schmoochie faces of theirs! The simplest things can bring a kitty such joy! The one simple, inexpensive item that ALWAYS gets Miss PSB going is the standard white pipe cleaner. I make little twisty "fetchies" out of the pipe cleaners (I tuck the ends over and wrap them to protect any sharp edges from protruding…our breeder showed me how when we picked up our baby girl back in 2013…very simple). Miss PSB goes CRAZY for them and will ALWAYS fetch them back to me or my hubby during a rousing game of fetch. When I make her a new one, she will patiently sit at my feet and watch me with those great big blue innocent eyes until I'm done and throw it for her to fetch. We must have 100 of these things throughout the apartment under furniture and other places where she likes to hoard them. LOL. Cutest thing in the world is watching her trot around carrying the pipe cleaner thingy in her mouth to hide it somewhere (usually under our kitchen trash can…she drops it on the floor next to the trash can and bats it under the space between the foot pedal, to open the garbage can top, and floor with her paw to get it under the free space of our trash can). πŸ™‚ <3

Big hugs & lots of love!

  3. Happy Easter everyone! This video is soooo adorable! Just look how little Charlie and Chiggy were! Love how they ran after it just hearing the click. Mine love the plastic circles from the milk carton. They carry those around and chase after them. They also love ribbons of any kind, especially the ones that are on a new blanket holding the tag on❀❀❀
