Ragdoll Cat Video: Chiggy vs. Litter-Robot Open Air

If you missed this video on our Facebook, Instagram or YouTube, then I have embedded the Facebook version below for your viewing pleasure.

We’ve had our Open Air for over a year now – it’s hard to believe that we’ve had it for that long now. The cats still use it daily, even though they have 4 other litterboxes to choose from. I did move it to our basement and now Chiggy is finally getting brave enough to watch it cycle. Charlie, of course, did this from the get go and no longer needs to watch it. I love how different they are.

Many readers love theirs as well.

Joyce wrote on this post, “NOTHING better! My cats took to it immediately. Don’t worry too much about the expense. The amount of litter you save is unbelievable! Litter Robot barely uses any litter – none is wasted as it is with scooping. The odor control is amazing and the cleanup is clean and simple. I have the space for it in my basement – I’m lucky. It is quite large and not sure where it would be placed in a home without space…it’s certainly not an interior decorator item. Would be nice if they worked on the size.”

  1. Pawesome video, Jenny! Watched in on YouTube. I always lurve seeing Chiggy doing something adorable and quirky! Glad he finally worked his courage up to check it out when it’s cycling. Brave Chiggy! Our girl, Miss PSB, is very cautious in her approach to new and large things (like her Infinity Scratch Lounger)…it took her about three weeks to finally feel comfortable enough to lay on it and claim it as hers! Hilarious! Now, she’s on it all the time! 🙂

The Litter Robot is SO AWESOME! I really enjoy your LR videos! 🙂

Big hugs & lots of love!

    1. Thanks, Patti – yes, I am glad Chiggy is braver too. I wonder if moving it to the basement helped him – there is carpet in the basement, so the sound would be less than a hard tiled room with no sound absorbency.

  2. Hehehe! Chiggy is SO adorable watching the Litter Robot. Sure do wish we could get this, but Miss Mari’s huge output is prohibitive at this time. Maybe some day though. Think it is a great product!❤

      1. Caymus and Murphy have their 6-month physical on the 30th – i will be asking our vet about it too although I am pretty sure, I will proceed with it regardless.

      1. Oh yes, forgot about Caymus’ and Murphy’s issues. WHEW! Started to worry! Wouldn’t that be great if it helped them! I already have Mari on Benazepril and that has majorly helped her. My vet said that she has started to write sympathy notes to owners of kitties who have been really ill with renal issues and then they started on the Benazepril and have lived for another 5-7 years! Have to see if those two meds can be used together as well. Herbals can be just as effective if not more than mainstream meds. She also has really benefitted from taking the Canna Companion and hasn’t had one other interstitial cystitis outbreak in over a year because of it.❤❤❤

      2. Oh wow – that is awesome about Benazepril! And yay on Canna Companion! If you’re ever game to share your experience with Mari’s renal stuff and what you’ve done, I would love to share it.
