Petcube Pet Camera Unboxing Video

As many of you know, I don’t always post our arrival videos here on the website until we do the final review.  However, I am super excited about this product and wanted to share immediately!

The Petcube is a pet camera that operates from wifi and an app.  It has 2-way sound as well as a laser light you can turn on to play with your cats.  It was super simple to set up, and I am excited to mess around with it.

I am still learning about it – but I should be able to share our feed live with you all, and also take videos of the cats.

What questions do you have about this pet video camera that I can address in our Petcube review?

Oooh, Jenny, this looks cool! This would be great for when we go away. Even though we have a cat sitter, I always wonder/worry what Gracie does during the day when she is all alone. My one question (so far) is: That laser light/beam, is it harmful to human’s or critters’ eyes? Thanks for sharing this product. Can’t wait for your review.
    Best!

I am not sure about the laser light thing – I don’t know if that’s an Internet rumor or not. I don’t think my two would look into the light – they would look for the light.

Pawesome unboxing video, Jenny! What a wonderful & FUN product to review! Can’t wait for the final review results. I bet you have a great time testing this product! I think this is such an amazing product for pet owners who are away from home to keep an eye on their furry babies! 🙂 <3

WOW! How cool is this!!!! Can’t wait to hear all you have to say about this. Would have been great when Mariposa was missing her Dad and he could have talked to her (actually he tried over the phone but she wasn’t buying it was really him!). The one question that immediately came to my mind is how safe is the laser light? By that I mean that if I had it up on a mantle like in the unboxing video (that’s probably where I would put mine too), how is it not to get in the kitties’ eyes that might look straight up and into the laser? I’m probably overthinking or worrying about nothing, but I always make sure when using the laser wand not to point it anywhere near their eyes. That’s all I have so far. Thanks and can’t wait to see the review!♥♥♥

OMG that’s freaking amazing! I always wonder what Loki gets up to when I’m not at home. Can’t wait to see your final review. I don’t have an iPhone, but I have an iPad mini. I suppose the app would run on that. What fun, and it’s a great security device too!

    • Jenny says:

I am guessing that you can probably use it on all devices that allow you to download apps – like iphones, ipads, android devices, etc. But I will try and find out for you too!

I love the petcube!! I bought it May 16th, got my kitten May 22nd. If not for the petcube, I’d drive myself crazy thinking about if he’s okay or if he’s getting into something. I didn’t have a high enough place to put it (downward facing camera), so I just bought a cheap tripod off of amazon. The motion detection is my favorite feature, that way I know when he’s up and moving around! The laser is a little hard to use in my opinion.
