Caymus spread eagle on the bedSorry, folks!Ā  Our review for today didn’t quite happen – I couldn’t get the boys on film.

So, this is a good opportunity to ask -what kind of reviews would you like to see? I’d love to review more cat trees, but it is hard to get a manufacturer to send us one as a product sample.

Please include in the comments what you’d like to see on Floppycats reviewed and we will work hard to see if we can get our hot little hands on it.

Omg!!! This picture is priceless!!! Amy asked me last night who was my favorite…and of course i gave a reason for each one of them being my “favorite”…but now…I have to say Caymus wins!!!! I wanna kiss that belly!! šŸ˜‰

I’ve been looking up lately on what kind of bed to get for Callie. Through all my research, I decided to go for a donut bed. While browsing on http://www.catconnection.com, I found this bed called Big Shrimpy Catalina bed (you can find this on Amazon too). It looks promising, but I’m not sure. If you could get one or two šŸ˜‰ and review it, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for taking your time reading this and tell Charlie and Trigg that Callie and I said hi ^_^

Hi Jenny, I LOVE the new website interface. Very cool. To answer about what else we’d like to see reviews on, I really like the mix you bring, maybe more on food and any new toys or furnishings. I just ordered the Aikou cat puzzle/feeder. Should be a good/fun challenge for Mulsanne. I also enjoyed the cat of month or kitty of the month stories people sent in. I know it got harder to have enough participants.

I enjoy the vet participation and anyone that’s like a cat whisperer/psychic for insights into their little noggins.

Why are the corrugated cardboard products so expensive?! They’re cardboard!! Anyway to answer Krystal above, my cat loves his Sleeky Lounge and The Original Scratch Lounge beds (both corrugated cardboard.) He also does great in a paper bag!! He also loves a wicker rattan basket with fleece inside placed up high atop a tall entertainment center/bookshelf, also a favorite bed. Two other of his favorites are curved platform atop of his home made cat trees. He can plot against the birds and rabbits. You know they like to be up high with their superiority complex. šŸ™‚ Anyway, hope that helps.

Thanks, Karen – so happy to hear that you like the new website interface – I do too. Every day when I come to the site to visit it, it makes me smile that it is so much better organized.

I will keep more on food, toys and furnishings.

Please do let me know how Mulsanne likes the Aikou cat puzzle/feeder – of course, if you ever want to share your own review with photos of Mulsanne, I would be interested in sharing with others too! Charlie and Trigg are not the be all and end all!

There have been a steady flow of Ragdoll of the Weeks – but I will probably jinx it by saying that. I enjoy them too. If you have any ideas of how to increase participation, I am game.

I also like the vet participation and we are in the process of an interview with a vet – and I hope to schedule many more – it’s just time consuming for both parties, so they are longer to get up on the site.

I am not sure what the cost involved for corrugated cardboard products is – not sure about glue costs, the level of fluted cardboard, etc. and then the cost of employees, to keep their lights on, etc. I am sure when the volume of scratchers being sold increases, the cost will go down.

I love the reviews of toys- seeing your guys play with the toys gives me an idea of whether Emily will like them and ideas on how to entice her to play with them and keep her attention for more than a few minutes. I also appreciate the reviews of treats and food and hearing about the nutrition aspects and what is best for my cats.

    • Jenny says:

Hi Lynn, thank you for leaving a comment. I like the toys too…as you never quite know what’ll work. I would like to review more food and treats, but to be quite honest, I try to avoid that – I found that it wasn’t the considerate thing to do to Charlie and Trigg. I really need to keep them on a routine that’s healthy rather than experimenting with food just because they say it’s good. It’s a hard call for sure…as I struggle with treats and food just as much as anyone else.

  5. Bonnie says:

I really liked the food reviews. And the interviews with vets.

  6. Nicole says:

I don’t have a favorite yet I love all of them. I love watching the toy reviews and the scratchers how you can barely get them out of the boxes before one of the cats is on it. We are getting our first ragdoll next week. A one year old seal point lynx mitted girl and a seal mitted boy kitten sometime this summer. Your whole website has been so helpful and I bought your ebook that I’m reading through now. I just ordered the infinity scratcher and the neko fly today so I will let you know what she thinks

    • Jenny says:

That’s fun that you’re adopting an adult and a kitten! Where are you getting them from and is the 1-year old a retired breeder? I am glad the website and eBook have been helpful. Good choices on the Infinity Scratcher and the Neko Flies – I have no doubt those will be enjoyed by your kitties and by you!

  7. Bonnie says:

Another idea is to showcase different products that work for cats at different ages. I don’t know if Caymus and Murphy use any senior cat items. They seem pretty healthy.

  8. Jobi Harris says:

I always love what you do. You have a good mix, and I understand why it’s hard to get cat trees and the more expensive, heavier products. Toys are always fun to see, especially with your videos!
