KONG Zoom Groom Cat Brush Review

KONG Zoom Groom Cat Brush ReviewAwhile back I wrote a post, What’s Your Favorite Cat Brush?, many of you mentioned that you liked the KONG Zoom Groom Cat Brush.  The Zoom Groom is a cat brush that is made completely of a rubber-like material and is shaped like a cat.  It has little “nubs” on it that act like a brush to pull out loose cat hair.

The Zoom Groom was fine, but it isn’t a product like Whole Life Pet Treats or Neko Flies that I will praise and praise.

As you can see in the videos below – some of the cats liked it (Caymus and Murphy) and some didn’t (Trigg and Charlie).  Also, I wasn’t a fan of how the hair went flying everywhere – seems like it would be best to use this brush outside.

The Zoom Groom sells for $3.86 on Amazon – Kong Company Cat Zoom Groom Czg $3.86

Do you have a Zoom Groom?  How do you like it?  How does your kitty like it?

I bought the KONG Zoom Groom from Amazon.com. Buying the product did not influence this post.

I just bought this online (haven’t received it yet) in hopes that my newest cat will be ok with it. He won’t let us brush him with a regular one, not even the comb that seems to be gentle. I’m not crazy that the hair seems to fly everywhere, but he desperately needs brushed so if he can handle this, I’ll deal 🙂

I have it. And i like it for Mooshu…not love…just like. What i DO LOVE it for though is picking up his fur from my bathmat, kitchen rug…and my couch!!! That all being said…using it on him is annoying as the fur it collects ends up winding all around my hands & not staying in the “teeth” of the Zoom Groom. OK…so call me CRAZY…but i am ordering THIS (http://www.lespoochs.com/brushDetail.asp?inpItemCode=BS%25) It’s PRICEY!! But…My mom has one for her Persian & her Pommeranian dog. Both of which have very fluffy, fine fur & deep undercoats. I stole it from her last night & tested it out on the Moosh! OMG!! BEST BRUSH EVER! The fuzz stays in the teeth…he LOVED it…It was gentle…yet did the job!! He even let me do his belly without flopping all over! I have a slicker brush…but it’s just not cutting it as the teeth are not close enough together to really get in there! THIS one IS!! LOVE LOVE LOVE! May go bankrupt…But it’s worth it if i can stop pulling cat hair out of my own teeth during the spring & summer months! Oh yeah!! 🙂
