JW Grip Soft Nail Clipper

JW Pet was generous enough to send us a whole bunch of cat grooming products to try out.  One of them was the JW Grip Soft Nail Clipper.

These clippers are ideal for a kitty’s nails because they are small, just like a kitty’s claws.  They allow you to wrap the scissor right around the nail bed or the quick and then when you close them the blade cuts off the nail.

Why I love the JW Grip Soft Nail Clipper:

  • There’s a 3-year Guarantee
  • They’re small – so easy to store anywhere
  • They’re simple and they work!

I highly recommend these clippers or the JW Grip Soft Nail Trimmer For Cats Deluxe Version – which we reviewed last month for trimming your cat’s nails or claws.

Here’s a video I snapped of me cutting Trigg’s nails with the JW Grip Soft Nail Clipper:

Do you own these clippers?  How do you like them?  How long have you been using these clippers?

I have been using this great brand of clippers for several years on my three cats. They truly are the best. I recently misplaced my pair–I was sure the cats hid them! I bought the brand my local pet store carries and they did not work well at all. They were not sharp and the nails split while trying to cut them. Fortunately, I found my JW clippers in a few days–(nice try boys but nails have to be clipped!). They work beautifully!

Deborah, so pleased to know you like them too. I think they’re great – and I wasn’t quite sure if the deluxe version would be as great – but I like them better!

Are clippers like that better than the Pedi-Paw? Any opinions on the Pedi-Paw? Or is it mainly for dogs? I can see how it would be useful for dogs but not so much for cat claws despite the fact that they advertise it can be used for cats as well. I would love to hear your opinions! Thanks ^^!

Melody, I have not heard about the Pedi-Paw being used on cats – if you find out any information, please let me know.
