1. How long have you been communicating with animals?

30 years

2. How does one communicate with animals?

Animals are telepathic, and so we speak on that level.

3. Can you share with us, one of your favorite animal communication stories?  How it impacted the owner or the animal or both?

I had an experience with a hornet. Are you thinking you don’t like hornets – that they scare you? Anyone would want to save a bird or bunny, but a hornet? This one was caught inside my apartment, trying to escape through a screened window in my office. My first reaction was fear. I didn’t want to get stung. I closed the glass part of the window, trapping the hornet inside. And then, as I worked, I could feel its anxiety. I watched it get slower in its movements as it ran out of energy and became hotter in its cage. When I looked at it, really looked at it, it was as beautiful in its own way as the hummingbird. Its slender shape was pleasing, its golden wings translucent and shining, and the contrast with its matte black body was stunning. And so I set to work – found a glass jar and a piece of white cardboard, and opened the window. I covered the hornet with the jar, and slid the cardboard under. I told it I was going to help. Still, the hornet was frantic in the jar. I carried it out to my deck, set it on a table, and lifted the cardboard. It took a moment to realize its freedom. And then I felt its pure joy as it soared fifty feet up into the top of a nearby tree.

4. Do you prefer to communicate with younger or older animals?
It doesn’t matter – I love them all.

5. Do you prefer to communicate with a certain type of animal?  I mean, do you do better with cats, dogs, horses?  Do you even talk to reptiles?

Yes, I talk to reptiles, horses, bats, birds, insects, and of course, cats and dogs.

6. How do your services work?  Do you come to my home?  Do I bring my pet to you?  Do you communicate LIVE over the phone or in person?

I can do in-person communication, but mostly that isn’t practical.  It is just as easy to talk to an animal long distance, usually on the phone with the human partner, than to travel.  My clients are widely spread.  For example, I had a client in Hong Kong.

7. What do you charge for your services?  Do you have a package deal?

My hourly rate is $90, and I am happy to say for 3 sessions I charge $225

8. Why do you think animal communication is valuable?

A majority of people in the United States have animals, and many of them want to know what their animal friends feel and want from their human(s).  Most of my animal communications are about challenges of one sort or another between animal and human(s).  When communication happens, things most often can be worked out.  So, yes, people find it valuable.

9. Do you think if a vet would incorporate animal communication into their practice it would be helpful?

YES!  I don’t know many who do – only one I know of.  If a vet could explain what is going to happen, and verbally assure the animal, it would be easier for all concerned.  In fact, a vet wouldn’t even have to “hear” the animal – the animal needs to hear the vet!

10. Are you able to communicate with an animal in the after life?  How does that work?

Yes, I talk to animals who are no longer in a body.  I talk to them just the same way I talk to animals living here on Earth.  I have had one client who wanted to hear from a dog friend from her childhood.  This particular dog was the biggest energy I have ever spoken with.  She told me she was a guardian of the gates.  She said she couldn’t explain it because it is beyond time, and since we live within time, we cannot begin to understand it.

A short bio for Pet Talker Jackie Branagan:

My name is Jackie Branagan, and Dragonfly Essence is the culmination of over twenty years of work and study, and a lifetime of walking and talking with Spirit.  The thread that runs through all of my work is communication: whether the communication is as teacher and writer, or as healer and flower essence practitioner; and whether I communicate with humans, animals, Nature, or Spirit, or frequently all of these.  Everything I am and do, I approach in co-creation with Nature and with Spirit. This is a safe and sacred connection, which provides information for healing of humans, plants, animals, businesses, relationships, the earth and any human endeavor.
