Floppycats.com asked Gena Wilson for an interview about her animal communicator abilities.  Gena is located in Greenbelt, MD and can be reached through her website: www.inspiredbyangels.com

1. How long have you been communicating with animals?

I have been communicating with animals professionally since 1996

2. How does one communicate with animals?

I believe that animals have souls like people and I tap the essence of their soul. I receive information in visions – an animal may show me a suitcase to let me know their owner is leaving for a trip. One doggie that did not like the woman’s boyfriend took his paw and shoved him out the door.

3. Can you share with us, one of your favorite animal communication stories? How it impacted the owner or the animal or both?

One of my favorite stories –I went to a woman’s home who had 2 kids, a husband and two cats and a dog – then she told me she had a lizard as I was leaving. I read for the dog first and he said he was happy — showing me a big smile on his cute face but he wanted a new bowl to eat out of. I saw the chalk board and my teeth hurt — he was eating out of a metal bowl and he ended our conversation sitting at the kitchen table while being told a story by a cat he called the “Wild One”.  The woman informed me that there was one of their cats who was out all day and only came in to sleep. I then read for the other indoor cat who was an older female.

She said she ached — I felt the old bones and the aches myself – she further showed me a comfy bed that was so soft and that she also was so happy and enjoyed the stories of the “Wild One” before bed.

The kids dragged the “Wild One” into the house and he sauntered around the living room letting me know he had stuff to do and that I needed to get to the point. As I touched with his energy – I saw him on the roof of the house leaping after birds. The woman confirmed that this was a favorite place that he hunted from. I was ready to leave when the woman said she had a lizard upstairs. I went upstairs and the lizard conveyed to me – “Can someone please stop the Cat from terrorizing me?”  The image was of the Wild One on top of the cage looking down with big fangs at the lizard. The lizard then let me know that he wanted a mate – someone to absorb the terror. The woman said she would be going immediately to the pet store to find a mate and a larger cage and that the cat would no longer be able to sleep in the same room as the Lizard. We were all pleased with the readings, especially the Lizard —

4. Do you prefer to communicate with younger or older animals?

I have a fondness for the elders, but love to communicate with all of them.

5. Do you prefer to communicate with a certain type of animal? I mean, do you do better with cats, dogs, horses? Do you even talk to reptiles?

I love to communicate with all animals and find no difference in ability. I have read for obviously reptiles, snakes, fish, rats, squirrels, hamsters, dogs, cats, horses, dolphins and dragonfly’s to name a few.

6. How do your services work? Do you come to my home? Do I bring my pet to you? Do you communicate LIVE over the phone or in person?

I love animals and enjoy in person but can do the communication over the phone with a picture of the animal preferably with the eyes in the picture. The eyes are the window to the soul. I will travel to your home if your animal is old or does not travel well if you prefer in person but there is a travel fee which is dependent on distance.

7. What do you charge for your services? Do you have a package deal?

I charge by time. I could read for many animals in let’s say an hour. My rates are $65 for one half hour and $120 for an hour. Pro-rate for other times. I will do pro-bono for some rescues and work with several now.

8. Why do you think animal communication is valuable?

It is helpful for people to really understand their animal companion. To know why they like or dislike another animal. Understand what they have been thru and also to get insight into past lives together. Further to identify if they have been with the person before or if they plan to come back in a new body.

9. Do you think if a vet would incorporate animal communication into their practice it would be helpful?

I do think it would be very helpful especially if the communicator has the gift of medical intuition. I have been able to assist in this manor with several vets and holistic workers. I assist God as I am just the channel for the information.

10. Are you able to communicate with an animal in the after life? How does that work?

I feel blessed to have this wonderful gift to communicate with those who have made their transition. I go to St Francis’s Garden (which is Pet Heaven). I sense and see their energy and almost always they will show me something to relay to their owner so that it is no mistake that it is them. It may be something they did or they may show me where they slept. How they cuddled or licked or looked at them. They might show me their favorite toy or activity when alive. It is helpful to have their picture but I can get the information by touching with the owner.
