Happy 6th Birthday, Trigg!

Ragdoll Cat Trigg Birthday Hat 2015

I can’t believe my little Chigg Doo is 6 years old.  I’ve never met a cat like Trigg.  He is so quirky.  QUIRKY!  Just to get up from a nap sometimes, he will do this weird curl thing.  I don’t even think I can describe it.  It’s funny.  He’s funny.  He makes me laugh out loud every day.  I am also obsessed with how cute I find him.  I tell him daily, “Why are you so cute?”  And also, “You are so fancy and handsome.”  He is one of those cats that likes to arch his back and rub on anything when you are speaking to him affectionately.

As many of you know, Trigg is distantly related to my Rags, the reason this website is here today.  I did not look for Trigg’s coloring or pattern (which is a Blue Lynx Mitted Ragdoll Cat).  Rather, I was simply looking for a male Ragdoll cat related to my Rags.  Because of that, Trigg is also the reason I have Charlie.  In other words, I would not have been keeping track of Trigg’s breeder’s website and seen Charlie if it weren’t for wanting to find Trigg.

Trigg is an easy cat.  He always eats whatever is served to him.  He doesn’t meow at me non-stop like someone else that lives with us.  He is happy watching the squirrels chase each other on the tree for hours and rarely has had anything medical go on.  I think his worst encounter was a bee sting.  Oh and speaking of medical – when he got his teeth cleaned recently, the vet tech said, “He was a perfect anesthesia patient.”  I wasn’t surprised – he’s so easy!

He is crazy affectionate when HE wants to be.  He is the first cat I’ve ever had that wants to snuggle with me in bed – in other words, not one I have to force to snuggle with me.  He’s hilarious when he does it too.  I can be in bed for some time watching a TV program, and he flies onto the bed.  I say “flies onto the bed” because it’s not just a jump – he is gliding because he knows he’s about to make your day.  And so he flies onto the bed and then approaches me with his tail up and this confidence of “I’m here!”.  He then goes into this routine where he rubs everything he can – marking me, my face, my hands, snapping the rubber bands on my wrists and more.  He will finally settle down to knead and purr.  My sister, who stays at my house when I go out of town, always talks about how excited she is about snuggling with Trigg.  And there’s no way to know when he is going to do it – he can go months and not snuggle.  That’s what I love about it – it’s such a gift when he wants to do it.  I just am grateful when he does.  My sister does get a snuggle every time though – maybe I need to ask her what her secret is.

Trigg is very skiddish – and it is something we are constantly working on.

I love him.  I love his coat.  I love his quirkiness.  I just love everything about him and hope we get to spend many, many more years together growing and learning from one another.  Happy Birthday to my sweet, quirky, Chiggy!

Happy 6th birthday Chiggy!!! Love your special birthday hat your Mom made so carefully. She’s very creative! You are a very special boy to all of us all over the world. Jenny, thanks for sharing that wonderful write up about him. Got me laughing just thinking about him and all his quirkiness. You have the best of both worlds having Charlie who is Mr. vocal and then Chiggy who is quiet and unassuming. Just the purrfect pair. Please wish him a very happy birthday and many many more from Illaria, Gracie, Miss Mari and Punkie and me.♥♥♥

HAPPY 6th BIRHTDAY, Chiggy Doo!!!! I absoloutely adore how you write about your love of Trigg, Jenny. He is such an awesome kitteh! I would lurve to have a real snugglebunny in bed! You are so lucky when he will do that with you!!! (Miss Pink Sugarbelle likes to make bread on us when we are in bed but she doesn’t stay in bed too long, before she’s off to do her own thing while we sleep. But, I’m hoping that changes as she gets older as she’s still maturing.)

So happy that your boy is happy and healthy and oh so very quirky. I just adore how quirky Ragdoll behavior is…. I’ve never had a cat quite so quirky as Miss Pink Sugarbelle. She’s a hoot and a half for us!

    Big hugs!!!!

Patti & Miss Pink Sugarbelle (who told me she still has a crush on The Triggyman…she’s so in love with his looks, charm and athleticism) 🙂 <3 <3 <3

What a sweetie! You’re lucky, my Ragdoll Ole wants nothing to do with snuggling and he’ll be 3 years old on the 25th. My Ragamuffin Tiggy (3 next month) however, loves to lick and also give massages–strong effective ones to my neck, back, belly, wherever it’s soft. My wife thinks that’s because he may have been separated from his mother at too young an age but I think he just loves to love.
