We have just been adopted by a beautiful little boy seal point ragdoll, who is coming home tomorrow.

He has had two sets of vaccinations, and has had an allergy both times, manifesting in sore red skin. I have spoken to the breeder's vet who says it is not a serious allergy and to go ahead and give him his final round of vaccines when it is time. He is now 12 weeks old.

I dont want to put him through any pain. He is such a sweet darling little kitten. Ive never had a ragdoll before and we are currently without any pets in the house. He is active but so friendly and cuddly. I would already be devestated if anything happens to him due to the vaccines.

How important is it to have the final set of vaccines, do you think? He is of course going to be a house cat, so considering the allergies do we really need to put him through it?

I would appreciate any input!

Who is your vet?  Sounds like you need a second opinion!  Doesn't sound right to me – but I am not a vet!

We are seeing a vet here in Tokyo. Ive just called a new vet today, as Aslan has had very watery stools at nighttime. Morning is fine, afternoon is fine, but evening has been terrible diarreah. Again this morning was fine after a very very bad bout of diareah last night.

The new vet said as long as he is eating and drinking and active (which he is) to wait until the Saturday appointment.

I am going to discuss it with this new vet, who has qualified in the US. It doesnt sound right to me either, to put him through another allergic reaction.

Sounds like a plan.  How strange that he has diarreah at night.  Does he go outside in the afternoons?
