Feliway Plug-In Diffuser with bottle, 48 MillilitersDo you use the  Feliway Plug-In Diffuser?  Please leave a comment and let us know how you like it or how it worked for you.

My mom constantly has one running for Caymus and Murphy.

The Feliway Diffuser is a plug-in diffuser that emits a synthetic copy of a cat’s natural facial pheromones.  Cats use their facial pheromones to mark their territory as a place that’s safe and secure.  So the smell to them is safe and secure.

Feliway has been known to help with stress-related behavior including:

  • urine marking
  • vertical scratching
  • loss of appetite
  • reduced desire to play or interact

You can buy the Feliway Plug-In Diffuser with bottle, 48 Milliliters on Amazon for $23.39 or you can probably pick it up at Petsmart or Petco.

They also sell refills in packs of 6 on Amazon. Feliway 48-Milliliter Plug-In Refills, 6 Refills

I started using two when we adopted the last stray cat that showed up at our house. I really feel it helped ease the stress of adding him to the household (he made the 4th cat!).

    • I am pleased to hear that – I hope others will also share their experiences.

you are a wonderful person. after my 2 quite old cats passed a couple of years ago, I said I wasn’t going to get anymore cats. immediately I had a cat show up on my door step. shortly after, another and now I have 3. one is a young grey tabby and he is just a little bad ass and bullies the other two and though he doesn’t actually fight with them, he seems to love terrorizes them.. running up to them really fast and standing up.. it’s funny as heck to me but it stresses them out. they are all neutered and I think i’m going to give this a try. one of the cats.. a lovely orange tabby that I think has some Egyptian in him won’t stay inside because of this cat and I hate them being out due to the fact I live so close to the college and there are a lot of freaks running around. maybe this will help them all be more content together.

Oh this is fantastic Feliway as it has really helped my stressed out Ragdoll chill out a little but it is so expensive in Australia as I go through 1 a month at $40 a pop. Wish I was in American it is so much cheaper from Amazon but it will not allow it to be shipped to me.

I totally recommend this to everyone it is a miracle worker.

  3. no coupons in OZ and I have looked on line and it cost me $76 for 2 so that is still expensive I wish I could get it for what you can as I have it running 24 hrs a day.

GREAT! I just used feliway diffusor for the first time two weeks ago for urine marking in one of my 5 cats…and it works!!! I was so gratefull, thank you

We have 5 cats and tried the Feliway plug-in to alleviate some aggressive behavior that Stella was exhibiting towards Annabelle. It seemed to help a bit for a few weeks but then stopped. Perhaps if we had more units around the house it would have been different but we felt the Feliway wasn’t effective enough to justify the additional expense.

I have used Feliway when my cats were stressed. I have the spray for the car and carrier when we go to the vet…And I have used the plug ins. I can’t tell definitively if the spray works or not, but I think it probably helps. The plug ins– again, can’t be sure- but I think it helped settle the cats somewhat and keep them calmer. I hold off on using it unless I really need to because of the expense. Those plug ins run out quickly– before you know it they need to be replaced. Over time, it’s a big investment!
