Catty StacksWhen it comes to unique cat furniture, it’s hard to find.  That’s why when I saw the Catty Stacks Designer Cat Houses, I knew Charlie and Trigg would love to check it out.

Catty Stacks was kind enough to send use their 4 box system.

If you are a cat owner, then you know how much cats love boxes, so this was a no brainer for Trigg – who is a total lover of boxes.  In fact, he sat in them waiting for us to open them up!

These are really a great alternative to cat condo trees because they are:

  • eco-friendly (recycled, recyclable, soy-based ink, reusable hardware)
  • Configurable
  • Portable
  • Lightweight – 2.5 lb/box
  • Easy to Move

Some other great benefits of these cat furniture condos include:

  • 100% soy-based inks – so they are not toxic to you or your cats.
  • You can decorate them with markers, stickers, etc.  So they end up being a great way for you to bond with your cats and your kids at the same time – if you don’t have children, there’s no reason why you cannot decorate them!
  • Innovative design allows you to come up with a custom configuration for your kitty and for the space you want to put the condo in
  • You can also rearrange it to keep your cats interested (Side circular cutouts are 6.25″ in diameter, top and bottom cutouts are 5.5″ in diameter)

When the structure is connectd you can easily move it as one piece

  • Your kitties can easily move throughout the inside of the stacks
  • Promotes exercise
  • They are strong – can support over 40 lbs of static weight
  • Made in the USA
  • 16″W x 16″D x 15″H
  • Lightweight – 2.5 lbs each

You can order Catty Stacks Designer Cat Houses directly through their website.  And it’s totally easy to add boxes over time – so don’t fret on which number of boxes to get – as you can always get more.  The 4 box kit is on sale for $59.96.

You can also order Catty Stacks on Amazon.com.

You can order as many as a 13-box kit – of course, if you want a 20 box kit, you can just order two 10-box kits.

Here are a couple of videos I shot while doing the review:

Ever since I saw that you received this product, I thought it would be a hit since it is made out of cardboard. Definitely a product I plan on having in the future when I get my kitties! I wonder if they will come out with not only the plain colored box stacks but also a patterned one?

My cats LOVE these Catty Stacks too! And i really love that the owner, Frank, donates lots of them to shelters too!

  3. Oh, these are so cool.

I just happened upon your site (I was at another blog and followed your link from there) and saw these CatStacks. They are new to me/us. (“The Boys” and me!)

Mikey is the one who loves boxes at our house so he’d be thrilled with them. However, I can think of one thing that might be a detriment. The boxes seem quite large; we have a not-so-large house and would really not have a place to put that many boxes when they are all put together.

And advantage, though, that I can see with this jungle-gym type setup is that the boxes look to be pretty sturdy. Which would be a lot better for kitties in the house. We had a cat tree at one time, and on the carpet it was a little top-heavy or something because it would easily tip whenever more than one of our “Boys” (Mikey, Jonny, Billy or Bowie) would rough-house on it.

All in all, though, this is a really cool plaything.

    Thanks for the in-depth review.

Karen – I have a very small house too – 1600 square feet – at least I think it’s small! Sure feels like it! And these don’t bother me at all – you can put them along the wall to make them be out of the way.

Love the names of your boys!!

      • Jenny,

Oh cool. Thank you for the added information about the boxes fitting in small houses.

And thank you for letting us know you like the names of our boys. They like their names, too. They also each know who is who! They don’t come to “kitty, kitty”; it’s their names.

Hi, I have reservations about ordering from this company. I had to click on the returns link to find their address, but there is no phone number. I usually do not order from companies that do not have a phone contact. Sometimes it’s nice to talk to a live person if needed.

In your opinion, Is this company reputable?

    Thank you.

We tried to contact “catty stack house system”, they do not show price, or size of
product. Their web page could use some improvement! Your video was great,
they could learn a lot from you.

    • Jenny says:

Hmmm…they used to show the price and sizes of their products. I am having a problem with their website loading, otherwise I would send you a direct link. They are on Amazon.com. I will add a link to them on Amazon.com in the body of the post.
