I first began researching Ragdolls over a year ago and really thought I had found the breed for me and my family.

Although I love Ragdolls to pieces, I am not a big cat show person. I think I could get into them, but I have not had great experiences with them – people seem to be rude, cold and just generally annoyed with anyone that is excited about their cats.

When I was in my early 20s, my parents moved into a house and put in a pool. I had always been curious if Rags could swim like the dogs. But I never had the opportunity to put him in anything – so I never tried it. Until! my parents got a pool.

You might have read my post a few days ago about my Aunt Nicky’s new kitty, Prince William! He is from Angelic Ragdolls in Sweden! As you can tell he is a Blue Mitted Ragdoll with an hourglass blaze!

As many of you know, my love for Ragdolls started with a kitty named Halston. He was a Seal Mitted Ragdoll with a blaze from Ragnarok Cattery in California. As many of you know, my love for Ragdolls started with a kitty named Halston. I was visiting my sister in NY and became enchanted by her adorable Ragdoll kitten, Lilly. We visited my sister’s friend who had Lilly’s sister, Penny, another beautiful Ragdoll, a large, sweet lap sitter. My sister and niece encouraged me to get a kitten, and so I considered it.

This is a fun photo using selective desaturation. All colors are removed, except for blue. Abby has very blue eyes to start with, but this treatment really makes them pop.

One thing I have learned for sure from losing my Rags is that people handle death differently. In fact, I watched a documentary one time about how death is handled around the world and I found it fascinating!
