BOB Pet Bowls by PetPet Studios Review
I was contacted by Darcy at Pet Pet Studios to review their BOB Pet Bowls.
They come in 4 colors:
- Happy Orange
- Love Pink
- Confident Blue
- Fresh Lime
We picked Happy Orange.
These sustainable pet bowls are made from food-grade, recyclable Polypropylene, making them completely recyclable too. They are BPA Free – Free of Bisphenol A.
The moat design keeps away ants from the pet food and as my boyfriend said, “it’s like a fortress for your cat food”. It is also a great food catcher:
They measure 235mm x 135mm x 72mm (9.2″ x 5.3″ x 2.8″).
It is very lightweight and very fun because of the color! They are also dishwasher safe!
The raised height reminds me a bit of the Classy Cat Dishes and is sometimes the perfect thing for cats needing it up higher.
They are currently priced at $34 USD each with free shipping.
I liked this bowl very much – it’s simple, easy and lightweight. The only problem is that they are made of plastic – and sometimes kitties can’t handle eating out of a plastic bowl every day – if they get cat acne. If they don’t then, you are safe to use plastic. Trigg, for example, gets zits. Charlie does not. So I have to watch how often Trigg eats out of a plastic bowl, whereas Charlie is always fine.

Hi, I’m Jenny Dean, creator of Floppycats! Ever since my Aunt got the first Ragdoll cat in our family, I have loved the breed. Inspired by my childhood Ragdoll cat,
Would love it if it were made from ceramics. My cats are sensitive to acne from plastic as well. Also think the price is too high for a plastic bowl.
I agree – the cost is steep. I think it’s because they are in the start-up phases and are also located in Singapore.
Question, how is plastic bad for cats with acne? Does it cause it? We are getting our first two seal bicolor Raggies Friday and I can’t wait!!
Plastic helps cats that have an acne problem get more of it or not get rid of it – something about harboring bacteria – even if you run them through the dishwasher daily. You can check out what cat acne looks like in this video: http://youtu.be/T3oAOnjMFh4
That’s soo exciting about your new kitties – I bet Friday can’t come soon enough!
