6 Years Since My Rags Passed

| March 30, 2015 | 9 Comments

Today marks 6 years since I said goodbye to my Rags.  Rags is the seal mitted Ragdoll cat my siblings and I got when I was 10 years old.  He passed at 19.5 years old (I was 29 years old).  Rags is the reason I created this website – to connect Ragdoll pet owners worldwide to share the joy of our cats, health concerns, tips, tricks and more.

Thank you all for being here – you might not have known it, but you’re honoring my Rags by being here and that means the world to me =).

I have posted some videos of my Freegie (that’s what I called him towards the end of his life) below (these videos are one of the best gifts I gave myself.  I would highly encourage you to film your kitty and upload it to a site like YouTube so you can watch it for years to come):

Awww, Jenny, please know that we are sending some special comforting prayers & thoughts your way on this 6th anniversary of Rag’s passing. ***BIG HUGS****

Rags was such a special kitteh and his pictures and videos are so lovely to watch. Such a great way to keep his memory close. <3

The love you have for Rags is everlasting and the creation of Floppycats in his honor is the best thing you could have ever done. Floppycats will has kept his memory alive and reached out so wonderfully to help others (each and every day) learn more about caring and nurturing this wonderful Ragdoll breed.

Know that you are not alone in remembering and cherishing your special memories with your beloved Rags. 🙂 <3

Rags was a very lucky boy to have had such a loving and caring Mom. I can only imagine how much you miss him. I’m sure he’s proud that he was the catalyst for your great website and is smiling down from Kitty Heaven.

i love his meow and his beautiful color. he’s like a cup of hot cocoa. i film some of the stuff the cats i have now do but i never did with my other cats that have passed. i have lots of pictures and it’s still hard for me to even look at those. i cry and miss them. i know though that their wonderful spirits and energy are with me all the time. i’m so glad that you decided to honor your cat with “floppycats”. seeing you and your precious boys, all the information and tips and treats and toys you bring us makes it easier for me to be a good mom to my cats. i look so forward to your videos and laugh and for what’s next. you are a gift jenny and we all adore you!

Because of your love for Rags, you have brought worlds of joy to so many of us, Jenny! I don’t think any kitty was ever honored as much as Rags has been by you. He is famous worldwide now! I’m sure Rags is always with you, loving you and watching over you as your special guardian angel. <3 <3 <3

Sends a Hug on wings. Thank you Jenny for what you do for the rest of us. The love you have for your furry babies is instantly felt. After watching these videos I am thinking maybe there is a special FLOPPYCAT heaven where all our kitties are playing together. I bet every time we think of them they purr.
Yes, film your kitties. We also made a book of Bear pictures through Shutterfly. It sits on our table a constant reminder. The quote I used on the last picture was.. “I held you in my arms for a little while. I now hold you in my heart forever.”
